I needed a cable for my computer monitor so I clicked Comprehensive after seeing their ad in Google. Not knowing anything about cables, I found what I thought was the right one but called them to make sure...they were so helpful! The person I spoke to assured me I could return it if it was not what I needed (it was). I received the cable in 2 days and it cost less than ten bucks. Lifetime warranty to boot! I I ever needed another cable, I would come back here to get it. Thanks for your help!
Great Experience!
What are VGA Cables?
VGA Cables (SVGA Cables,XGA Cables, UXGA Cables etc) are commonly used for connecting computer monitors, laptop and desktop computers, projectors and more. The high density or HD15 connector used on VGA Cables is commonly found on computers, monitors, projectors and HDTV sets that support VGA devices. A VGA Cable can be found in a variety of configurations. Amongst the most common are the VGA to VGA Cables, VGA Cables with Audio, VGA to RCA Cables, Plenum (Fire Retardant) VGA Cable, the Micro VGA Cable and more. Buying Tips:
Here are some buying tips to help you make an informed decision.

Resolution: Today's computers support resolutions greater than VGA's original 640x480 so when you are shopping for a “VGA” Cable you are technically really shopping for a XGA (1024x768), SXGA (1280 x1024), UXGA (1600X1200) cable. Review the sepcs of your monitor to determine the desired resolution and search for a cable that can support the required resolution.

3 Coax Construction: Economy VGA/SVGA cables support only 800x600 due to being constructed with very small gauge wires. A premium VGA cable is constructed using three coax wires to transmit the RGB (Red, Green and Blue) color data and can transmit resolutions of 1600x1200 (UXGA) and sometimes up to 2048x1536 (QXGA) or higher. Critical for high-resolution performance.

Gauge: The gauge of the three coax wires (larger gauge is better though represented backwards numerically, as 12 gauge is bigger than 18 gauge).

Center conductor material: Tinned copper or oxygen free copper is preferred and avoid copper clad steel which is a cheap substitute with inferior electrical qualities. This is a trick used by some of the more unscrupulous internet stores and the China factories they support. Shielding type and percentage: A high percentage braided shield (90% or above) is better and more dense than a spiral shield, an overall foil wrap or ferrite alone. Multiple methods of shielding improve rejection of interference.

Connector durability: Choose molded connectors over assembled connectors if possible and certainly if you plan on putting the cable under stress. Gold plating does little if anything for performance.

Reliability: Reliability is critical for systems integration, digital signage, rental and staging and other demanding applications. A cable that performs poorly or fails is no bargain when replacement and service costs are considered. Review construction, warranty and reputation of the source before purchasing.

Price: Retail stores charge outrageous prices for cables to add profit to their total sale while many no-name internet stores distribute poorly made “knock-off” products from China. We advise neither. Do your homework, review cable construction and performance and relate to your specific needs. Be sure to always purchase from a trusted and reliable source with the experience to help guide you to the product best for your application.
